Michael Hasegawa, M.D.
Co-Founder

Michael earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University in 2001, where he also met his future wife, Crizen. He spent the next eight years in executive business consulting at Accenture-Chicago, before making a bold career shift to pursue medicine. Michael graduated from Rush Medical College in 2013 and completed his Emergency Medicine residency at Resurrection Medical Center, where he served as chief resident. During medical school and residency, Michael and Crizen welcomed their three children—Kaya, Nina, and Kenzo. In 2016, their family moved to Austin, where Michael worked in emergency medicine and as a medical director. An avid athlete and adventurer, Michael enjoys snowboarding, mountain biking, basketball, and golf—prioritizing an active, healthy lifestyle. But as he entered his 40s, he began noticing subtle changes in his body, sparking a deep exploration into longevity medicine. What started as a personal pursuit soon evolved into a private practice in 2021, leveraging advanced diagnostics and coaching to optimize health. With growing research and innovation in the field, Michael’s curiosity sharpened around metabolic health—the underlying driver of aging and chronic disease. This passion led to the expansion of BodyTime, a mission-driven company dedicated to helping the country tackle metabolic dysfunction at its core.

Crizen has always had an entrepreneurial spirit, building businesses across multiple industries throughout her career. She attended Purdue University, where she co-founded the first Asian-interest sorority and met her husband, Mike. She became an educator for multiple hair companies while working in a salon, eventually opening her own salon in downtown Chicago. She also founded a mobile hair and makeup company, traveling globally for special events and weddings. During her 30s, she supported Mike through medical school while raising their three children—Kaya, Nina, and Kenzo. After his medical training, they moved to Austin for a better lifestyle. Beyond business, she is passionate about spending time with her family, traveling the world, and staying active. Whether it’s biking, hiking, snowboarding, golfing, or working out, she thrives on movement, adventure, and embracing new experiences.
